CHRISTMAS WREATH DISPLAY
Certificates awarded to best entries

The Institute held a display of Christmas Wreaths on Saturday 3rd December. The displays were divided into various groups such as young person’s entries, wreaths from the St Osyth Business Association as well as entries from members of the Institute. There were eighteen wreaths on display, providing an interesting diversion for those attending to purchase donated books, given to raise funds for the Church Friends.
Many of the wreaths were displayed on the south wall of the church and the extremely bright sunlight behind the entries made photographing them in situé difficult, as they were ‘burnt out’ by the sun. Therefore most of the photographs pictured on this page are set up on a table out of the sun. Stephanie Smith has said she would like to project the pictures of the Christmas Wreaths on to a background screen during the village carol service in a fortnight’s time. This ambitious idea has yet to be achieved.

The two pictures above are of the fund raising ‘Book Sale’ that began today in the Church and will continue until Saturday 10th December. Steph Smith insisted that the person who takes the photographs is never in a picture himself – so she changed that, hence myself, a thorn between two roses.
