POINT CLEAR & ST OSYTH SPRING SHOW

On Saturday 4th April 2009 the Society held their first show of the year, the Spring Show, in the Village Hall, St Osyth. Quite apart from floral entries there were also classes covering Arts and Crafts, Childrens Entries, Photographic items and Handicrafts.
Cash sums are awarded to graded entries, but not quite at the level of the National Lottery. First prize is 40 pence, Second 30 pence and Third 20 pence.
The effort put in by entrants clearly illustrates, for our Village Society at least, that it is taking part that is important, not the prospect of great wealth and riches!  Michael Talbot presented awards to prize winners.

Pictured below are some of the 'First Prize' winners in the various classes of entry.

Raffel ticket vendors Rosie Jackson & Maureen Wood on duty at the door.

Pat Knight being presented with
'The Joan Lambert Cup' for best
handicraft entry in the show.

Ray Bennett and colleague check
that visitors pay at the door.
They also take membership subs
and sell gardening publications.

Our Chairman Dulcie Evans wins the
'Garden News Shield' for most points awarded in this show
