DUMONT LUNCHEON CLUB
	AS a person who enjoys her food (I dare say that some folk would say my figure is proof of this) I have always been of the opinion that there is no nicer way to socialise than whilst having a meal in good company. This month has been no exception.  As with every month, we have enjoyed a variety of meals - roast beef, chicken pie, boiled bacon, beef cobbler, all served with fresh vegetables, a pudding, cheese and biscuits, followed by tea or coffee. However our club is much more than just the food, it’s the getting together of people.  You should hear everyone singing Happy Birthday each week when cards are given out, and the general chatter that fills the Dumont Hall each Thursday. It’s all very gratifying to see friendships that have developed, and there is no greater sound in the world than laughter when a joke is shared (especially in the kitchen area). I am pleased to report that we no longer have a waiting list and that in fact we have, at the moment, two places that can be filled.
