LOOK INSIDE OUR MUSEUM

The pictures below were taken walking round the Museum during the 2011 open day. Our Parish Web pages tend to concentrate on activities outside the Museum, but I thought a real live presentation of the inside of the Museum, as a ‘snapshot in time’ would show how it was inside on that day.
I hope that next time our residents are in the Bay they will be encouraged to walk round inside and that our visitors to St Osyth and Point Clear will make a visit a ‘must do’ thing on their holiday agenda.

You have seen a quick view of the contents within the Museum. There are artefacts from both world wars, military and civilian in cabinets or on open displays around the Martello Tower on two floors, with views around Point Clear Bay from the roof. The Museum building is owned by the Orchards Holiday Park, who in agreement with the Museum Trustees, provide the building for the benefit of the community and visitors to the area. Check our opening times first to avoid disappointment.

COME AND VISIT US. SPEND AN HOUR IN THE QUIET OF THE MUSEUM. SHOW YOUR CHILDREN OR GRANDCHILDREN WHAT YOU KNOW OF CIVILIAN HARDSHIP AND OUR BRAVE SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN DURING THE 1939 TO 1945 WAR
