W.R.V.S. Over 60's Club

WE WISH TO EXPRESS OUR SORROW ON THE DEATH OF THE QUEEN MOTHER, SHE WILL BE VERY MUCH MISSED.

Meeting on April 11th 2002.

Hello All,
Our Chairlady, Mrs Francis, called for a minute’s silence for The Queen Mother.  Mrs Francis then gave out birthday cards and buttonholes for our birthday members.
We were quite a few members short today as they were off on holiday (it’s alright for some).  We also had a new member join us, so we welcome Lyn to our Club.

Peter Brock was our entertainer and though we were a bit thin on the ground we all had a good sing along.  Members who had booked for Southend on June 19th paid for their seats.  The next trip will be Wroxham on July 3rd.

With the sun shining and all the blossom out on the trees I feel at last we can say spring is in the air.  Let’s hope summer will soon be here!

Walk with a spring in your step and a big smile on your face, let the world know you’re happy.
God Bless!
