POINT CLEAR and ST. OSYTH HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY. |
|
The Summer Show was held on Saturday 30th June 2001 in the St. Osyth Village Hall. A good entry ensured an enjoyable show for the visitor and a competitive edge for those entering exhibits. A raffle was held in aid of the Society's funds and teas and cakes were available to keep the visitors going. It is a rule that all flower, fruit and vegetable exhibits must have been outdoor grown unless otherwise stated. |

The judging of the 'Ken Muir' strawberries will take place in a fortnight, as the weather has not been kind and most plants have green friut. These strawberries were provided, free of charge, by Ken who is President of the Society and set this competition to encourage as many members as possible to try their hands with good quality stock, to see what the average gardener could produce - at this stage things look very promising!
