FIRST RESPONDERS SUPPORTING THE LOCAL COMMUNITY

It had taken the St Osyth & Point Clear First Responder Group some 18 Months to obtain all the permissions needed to have this facility installed in the village.
We are nearly there. We just need to ensure the village residents are ready and trained to use the equipment should they need to do so.

How could you learn more?
1. Some of the First Responders are Heart Start trainers and if you would like them to come to your group on one of the occasions when you meet they will be pleased to do so. One and half hours should be allowed for a group size of say 20 people.
2. If you are not part of a group just phone me. We can arrange a public session once we know how many people want to attend.
3. The First Responder Group, can, if invited to one of your meetings come along and demonstrate the lifesaving actions.
4. You could come along to the First Responder training night, held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, at the Community Hall in Dumont Avenue.

We would not be looking for you to become a first responder, unless you wanted to, just to learn and get your confidence so you were better equipped in an emergency.
Do not dismiss this training if you are in a wheelchair, or disabled in some way. It would not preclude you from knowing how to undertake these lifesaving actions as you would be able to instruct someone else in the vicinity of the emergency if you knew how.
Please help us to help you to be ready. Please pick up the phone or email me and arrange a meeting as outlined above.
