LENT COURSE ON PRAYER
OPEN TO ALL
|
|
|
THE Lent Course that begins on February 14th is on the subject of Prayer. Both regular worshippers and non-churchgoers often find themselves wanting to pray but feeling they don’t have the knowledge or tools to do so. Here is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about prayer and praying. We have invited a couple of people to come and lead our thinking and they write….. “Lord teach us how to pray...” |

This was the heartfelt cry of the disciples, and often ours as well. The prayer course is a look at various aspects of prayer, which are easily available to us all. We are members of St. Leonard’s, Lexden and we will share our experiences in prayer to help you explore the whole subject, and earth it in everyday experiences.
David Wilcox is an Ultra Sound Sonographer in Colchester, and an active member of St. Leonard’s. He has keyboard skills both on computer and piano, and leads the Meditation group at his church.
Christine Claydon is the wife of a recently retired vicar, who has lived and worked for many years in Jerusalem, and now teaches about prayer and leads retreats, as opportunity arises.
We both love to share about different aspects of prayer, and have enjoyed leading similar Lent courses at both St. Leonard’s and at Alresford; and are now looking forward to meeting the people of St. Osyth.
The Lent Course will run for six Monday evenings, beginning on St Valentine's Day - February 14th from 7.30pm - 9.00pm. Do join us! If you have any questions then please give me a call on 820348.
