Royal British Legion Women's Section
	The Women’s Section meeting was held on November 7th in the Village Hall, 30 members attended.  After the minutes were read and all the business transacted we were entertained to a very colourful and fast show by the Sapphires, everyone enjoyed the singing, dancing, and music provided by the very professional group, with special mention of their wonderful glittering costumes that received the applause from all members present. The competition for a Christmas Table Decoration was won by:  1st Mrs Fletcher, 2nd Mrs P. Brett, 3rd Mrs Austin. Refreshments were served by the Social Committee and the Raffle was drawn, the meeting ended at 4pm. The next meeting will be on December 5th, and the competition will be a Pretty Candlestick. Don’t forget the Table Top Sale - December 1st, in the Village Hall, 2pm, tables priced at £5. The January 2002 meeting in the Village Hall is on Wednesday 9th, 2.30pm.  The competition is for the Prettiest Christmas Card. B. Austin
