WHY A WEB SITE
PARISH WEBSITE PROPOSED

St Osyth Parish Council
Wish all web site visitors a Very Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year in 2009.

From left to right front row:
John White, Leslie fuller, Sonia Grantham our Parish Council Chairman, Jean Smith, Colleen Peverell and Ron Walker District Councillor.
Back row from the left:
Michael Talbot Parish and District Councillor, Alan Rolfe, George Gibbs, Graham Underwood, Simon Talbot, John Kemp and Roger Squirrell our Parish Clerk.

The picture above will enable any interested visitor to put a face to a name in Parish Minutes. It is of note that the last regular monthly report to the Parish Council of Web site activity since the previous monthly meeting, recorded 572,866 ‘hits’ from 48,321 ‘visitors’, of which 32.15% were international visitors.

Members of the Parish Council and the two District Council members are shown waving a ‘Best Wishes Greeting’ to all our site visitors, wherever in the world you are living. Unfortunately Councillors Julie Ward and Robert Clarke were unable to be with us.
This great Christian festival is celebrated in our village with Carol Services including one of Nine Lessons and Carols, a service with the Salvation Army Band playing the carols, the School Carol Service and various group productions, an open air evening event in Church Square, club parties, pensioners lunches, the Business Association's decorations and many dozens of homes decorated with displays and fairy lights. All these and many other activities, both secular as well as spiritual, held in the weeks leading up to the celebration.
