The Colne Smack and Barge Match

On the 9th September 2000 the Annual Colne Smack and Barge Match took place.
The day was fine for viewing but not very good for sailing as only a very gentle wind was blowing. This event, which starts from Brightlingsea, could be viewed
from Stone Point and the Sea Wall Footpath along Western Promenade and around the Tower Estate at Point Clear on the western boundary of St. Osyth Parish.
