The St Osyth Womens Institute decided that their contribution to the celebrations surrounding the Queens Diamond Jubilee would be to hold a supper in the Parish Church. The event took place on Saturday the 2nd June 2012 beginning at 7.30 p.m. and finishing when the diners had eaten and then exhausted conversation with each other. One item on the menu was ‘Coronation Chicken’, a popular choice of many.
Members of the Womens Institute were in practice the staff for the evening, taking orders, fetching and carrying the food.
Both Soft drinks and canned beer were available to purchase.
